Seeking:Male Singers and Singer/Dancers (Lead): Male, 18+, any ethnicity; should read late 20s to early 40s. 5’9” or taller; attractive, masculine performers who can command a stage and tell a story – think leading man; sensational tenors and bari-tenors with strong falsetto; contemporary sounding voices with the ability to perform pop/rock; strong harmonizing skills a must. Must be comfortable with guest interaction. Must move well/dance. Note: RWS is now able to contract performers 18 and over for Holland America Line, as opposed to the previous age limit of 21 and over. Female Singers and Singer/Dancers (Lead): Female, 18+, any ethnicity; should read late 20s to early 40s. 5’4” or taller; attractive, mature performers who can command a stage and tell a story; sensational belters with strong mix/head; contemporary sounding voices with the ability to perform pop/rock; strong harmonizing skills a must; must be comfortable with guest interaction; must move well/dance. Seeking:Matt: Male, 20s. Hot in a small town way. He’s been Cindy’s boyfriend and designated life partner forever. His worldview is not as wide as Cindy’s. The Friday night lights are the brightest thing in his life. Ability to play smaller instrument (i.e. fiddle, harmonica, etc.) a plus. Aunt Cleo/Hattie (Chorus / Ensemble): Female, 40s. Cindy’s aunt. It’s been a road of discovery, and every mile she has traveled is written on her face. She became a beatnik and is transitioning into a hippie. One of the early flower children with a psyche that is becoming slightly skewed by that early morning pipe every morning. Actress will also play Hattie: Sassy and under-appreciated receptionist a big advertising firm in NY. She is very aware of the sexual politics in the workplace during the 60’s. Must move well. Ensemble Singers (Chorus / Ensemble): Males & Females, 20s – 40s. Versatile performers who can play a variety of roles throughout the show: corporate types, club-goers, activists, small town folk. Tomika barely speaks until she finally summons the courage to open her mouth and sing out so we have to be blown away by her sound. Pop/rock (maybe some gospel?) singer who moves well. Principal. A boy who is happy to be released; this is the kid who comes from a working-class background and, unlike many of his classmates, was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth, which his dad--who is not happy about his kid's obsession with music--never lets him forget.
