The long-term head coach of a Little League team of 11 year olds, a working-class guy, believes that winning is the key to having a good time. Michael – 30-40s male – Father. Aew assistant coach to Don, sensitive, believes that trying is the key to having fun, without the pressure of winning. __________________ “Oliver!” All roles available. Adults - Nancy, Fagin, Bill, Bumble, Corney Sowerberrys, Bedwin, Brownlow Ensemble: Male and Female singer/dancers to make up a chorus of people, policeman, townspeople, Noah, Charlotte, etc. Kids – (Audition Separately) Local boys and girls with singing and acting experience. Seeking:CRAZY FOR YOU Director Sarah Combs Choreographer Justin Boccitto Musical Director Eric Thomas Johnson Rehearsals June 3-June 20 Open June 21 Close July 7 These roles in Crazy For You have been pre-cast.  Actors may be considered for possible  replacements if needed Bobby aged 30-40. Bobby is a New Yorker in love with musical theatre but is forced to work in a bank by his controlling mother. He has been engaged to Irene Roth for 5 years but doesn’t want to marry her. When he goes to Deadrock to escape Irene, he meets Polly, falls instantly in love with her and decides to put on a show to pay off the mortgage on her father’s theatre . In order to receive respect, he entices the Zangler folly girls to come to Deadrock and disguises himself as Bella Zangler, the established producer. Bobby is involved in 12 songs so needs to be a strong singer, actor, tapper and ballroom dancer for his “Fred and Ginger” type numbers with Polly. Polly aged 30-40. Polly is the only female living in Deadrock where she is the postmistress and “all American girl”. The men adore her but Lank Hawkins is always asking her to marry him. She tries not to show her love for Bobby when she discovers that he is from the bank which wants to foreclose on her father’s theatre. Then she falls for Bobby disguised as Zangler but naturally true love prevails and the pair finally end up together. Polly is involved in 9 musical numbers and needs to be a good tapper, soft shoe and ballroom dancer with a strong voice. Zangler aged 35 – 55 with a Hungarian accent. Zangler is an established New York musical producer and theatre owner. He follows Tess, his dance director, to Deadrock despite being already married. Zangler enjoys a very funny drunk scene and duet with Bobby so needs to be a good character actor. _________________ BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Director Alan M-L Wager Choreographer Cheryl Swift Musical Director Patrick Hoagland Rehearsals July 2 Open July 19 Close August 4 BELLE aged 20-30  Belle is a young woman who feels trapped in her provincial small-minded town. She is a  strong, intelligent, spirited and independent young woman. This role requires a strong singer who portrays innocence with her singing and speaking voice, yet is also commanding and comedic.    Dance ability a plus. BEAST aged 25-40.  The Beast’s tortured soul is evident for all to see. There is anger and menace in The Beast’s appearance and behavior, but increasingly we see his soft and enduring side as he interacts with Belle and recaptures his humanity.  It becomes clear that he is a loving, feeling, human being  trapped within a hideous creature’s body.  Must be a very strong singer, consummate actor with  comedic ability.  Should move well GASTON aged 25-40  Although he is physically handsome, he is shallow, completely self-centered, not very  bright, and thrives on attention. __________________ JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT Director/Choreographer Russell Garrett Musical Director Jacob Carll Rehearsals July 23 Open August 9 Close August 25 JOSEPH: Male, 25-35 (High Tenor, Vocal Range Low A to High G). Eleventh son of Jacob and Jacob’s favorite. Looking for a strong actor with a confident but charming personality. Must move and sing very well. PHARAOH: Male, 35-45 (Baritone, Low B to High G#). Pharaoh is the most powerful man in Egypt, and considered a god on earth. He is in a strange psychological place and is desperately searching for the truth in his dreams. The character is in style an homage to Elvis. May double as brother. THREE BROTHERS WITH SOLO SONGS The three brother song solos 20-40  (One More Angel In Heaven, Benjamin’s Calypso, Canaan Days) are not specifically assigned to any specific brother at this time.   Those wishing to be considered for  those songs should sing them at the audition. __________________ NUNSENSE Director/Choreographer Teri Gibson Musical Director Eric Thomas Johnson   Rehearsals August 13 Open August 30 Close September 15 Sister Mary Regina –  60’s (Range: B3-F5) Mother Superior: a feisty, overweight Sophie Tucker-type who can't resist the spotlights. Should move well and have excellent comic timing.  Part requires some very physical humor. Sister Mary Hubert –  mid 50’s (Range: G3-F5) Mistress of Novices: the second-in -command, she is always competing with the Mother Superior.   She exudes maternal wisdom to novices, but also likes to let loose.  Should move well.

Understudies will not be employed for this role. _________________ “Annie Get Your Gun” Annie Oakley: Famous Sharpshooter, strong belter with a significant range, young backwoods character with self assurance and spunk who transforms from dirty illiterate to the star of the Buffalo Bill Show by virtue of her expert marksmanship and sunny disposition. Good comedic timing, and no inhibitions. Strong presence. Frank Butler: Leading Man. The male star of the Buffalo Bill Show. Best marksmanship in the world –until Annie comes along. Lyric baritone. Strong actor, self assured bordering on conceited, strong command. Dolly Tate: Frank Butler’s Assistant in Buffalo Bill show, good alto, obnoxious personality. Wild with jealousy over Annie’s success. Must be able to play “big character” without being “over the top”. Charlie Davenport: Dolly Tate’s brother and chief critic, Manager of the Buffalo Bill Show. Seen it all roadie. Capable, direct, exasperated with the craziness of the tour. Strong comedic timing, sarcastic. Baritone. Winnie Tate: Dolly’s pretty younger sister and chorus girl in the show. Falls in love with and marries Tommy Keeler. Dancer. Light belter. Tommy Keeler: Half Irish / Half Indian. Marries Winnie, much to Dolly’s dismay. Dancer. Light Baritone/Tenor. Buffalo Bill Cody: Owner and emcee for the Buffalo Bill show. Retired Old West military man. Good baritone. Good showman personality. Chief Sitting Bull: Wide old native American leader. Indian chief who adopts Annie Oakley, baritone. Dryly hilarious. Comedic timing a plus. Non Singing role. Foster Wilson: Crusty old Hotel Manager, baritone, strong personality with dry wit. Non singing role. Pawnee Bill: Owner of the Far East show, primary competitor of Buffalo Bill, Baritone. Good showman skills. A somewhat oily, less repectable version of Buffalo Bill. Minnie, Jessie, Nellie: Annie Oakley’s backwoods sisters, strong singers and actresses (ages vary 7-15) should be able to show dry wit. Little Jake: Annie Oakley’s brother, capable singer, good comedic timing (age 7-15).
