Seeking:Ralph: Anywhere from 40 to 60. A writer with a wry sense of humor who is cynical about life at the top, but becomes captivated by the childlike wonder of the story as it unfolds. Great radio voice would be nice. Old Man: Male, 35-45, Larger than life sense of the world and himself. Ideally an actor who looks like he could play a paper pusher or insurance salesman, who comes to life in ways we don’t expect. Mother: 18+, Perhaps a bit younger than Old Man. On the outside a Life Magazine version of what we expect, but with a pronounced eccentric side. Ms. Shields: 50s or 60s. A lifelong teacher with a big heart, a strong sense of right and wrong. An actress who can be alternatively straight laced or wacky.
